POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for routine experiments, recording results and learning basic knowledge of specialty coatings and basic equipments/computing tools to capture and record data. She/he contributes to the timely development and commercialization into manufacturing of liquid coatings products that meet the customers’ needs, as well as contributing to the solutions of problems relating to products and processes. This is the basic entry level technician position. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Timely and accurate execution of product testing on production material. · Timely and accurate execution of product formulations and testing. · Maintenance of safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures. · Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with those in line of work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Demonstrate knowledge of basic computer skills · Demonstrate basic math skills · Learn to organize work to use time efficiently. · Performs routine tasks, records results, and prepares specimens in support of others. · Works cooperatively with other technicians in platform to effectively carry out assigned tasks. · Independently performs basic tasks as outlined by supervisor or others. · Operates basic equipment safely. · Documents all tasks, testing results in a lab notebook. · Progress and results checked regularly by others. · May assist with more complex operations or tasks. · Executes product testing. · Completes scale-ups as needed. · Seeks assistance on priorities for scheduling work. · Verbally communicates with supervisor and others in work group to complete assigned tasks. · Is receptive and attentive to instruction/feedback. · Learns and applies procedures selected by supervisor to solve proble
